A hand-carved and hand-painted wood mask, comprised of a large base head, most likely representing a deceased ancestor, though treated with bold, stylized features rather than naturalism (note the angular blue and white eyes, full nose and lips, and scarification marks), as well as an intriguing superstructure featuring a pair of articulated puppets (also hand-carved/painted wood but with additional gingham fabric clothing ) engaged in erotic behavior. Expected surface wear, age cracks, pigment losses as shown. Foot of one figure separated but old repair has affixed it to the base. The other figure's torso is no longer joined to its lower body, but a dowel could fix this. Tears and losses to fabric. Perforations along base, presumably for attaching to costume or raffia.
