Description

An early 20th century citrine and split pearl gold pendant. The oval-shape citrine, with split pearl scalloped surround. Length 3cms. Weight 6.7gms.

Condition

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Pendant has been converted from a clasp.

File marks and evidence of conversion to reverse.

Later surmount, soft solder marks to surmount fitting.

Surmount loop shows evidence of repair.

Split pearls with slight yellowish white lustre.

Citrine medium yellow, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
