(lot of 5) White salt glaze table wares, circa 1750, consisting of a serpentine oval berry strainer raised on three prunt feet, with branch handles, the pierced lobed basin sprigged with scrolls, the dished paneled sides molded with variant basketweave patterns, 11"l, a cruciform dish, the sides molded with ermine or "seed" pattern with raised outlines, the small panels at each angle with a flower, 10"l, two graduated basketweave-molded plates, the pierced borders as open staves, largest: 9"dia., a shaped oval dish, the border pierced with panels of diamond lattice alternating with basketweave, pear and fig pendants into the cavetto. Property of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
