A PAIR OF CHARLES AND RAY EAMES "DCM" MOLDED WALNUT PLYWOOD, CHROME PLATED STEEL, AND RUBBER CHAIRS, DESIGNED CIRCA 1945, FOR HERMAN MILLER, ZEELAND, MICHIGAN, PRODUCED CIRCA 1950, the molded walnut plywood back and seat joined by chrome plated tubular steel frame, with rubber mounts. The addition of rubber mounts to cushion the back and seat of the DCM model chair allowed for a high degree of flex and shift to the individual components, resulting in a level of comfort previously unfound in hard surfaced chairs. Height: 29" Width: 19 5/8" Depth: 20 3/4"

Condition

In overall fair original condition with chips to plywood surfaces, pitting of metal components, rubber mounts appear to be replacements.
