Item Details

Description

Continental, 20th century. A pair of cast bronze female blackamoor figures, each ebonized with a polychromed gilt robe holding a tazza, resting on a round black marble pedestal base. Approximate height 63.5", diameter 15".

Condition

Scattered abrasions, nicks and dings to both sculptures; not distracting and commensurate with material and handling. Scattered minor losses to bottom perimeter of stone bases. Dirt and surface grime to both. Both tazzas later; plastic composition. One sculpture articulates slightly on base when force is applied. One with scuffs and oxidation to legs. One base with scattered areas of sealed cracks/losses; much more prevalent under black light than under normal light conditions.
