Description
Late 19th c. Satsuma Japanese pottery, 15" (h) vase, decorated with a relief applied mother bird & three baby birds, surrounded by tree branches with flowers & hand painted Arabesque, bird & floral designs. CONDITION: Drilled & mounted onto a 2 1/2" (h) wood base. Beak loss on mother bird & 1 baby bird. Repaired beaks on 2 baby birds. Tail loss on 1 baby bird. Areas with branch loss. Chips on flowers & branches. Overall crazing. 3/4" round crack bottom of base.
