Carved from hundreds thin layers of vermillion red-orange lacquer, of flattened cylindrical form, rounded shoulder, raised on low footed base. The exterior intrigue carved with various levels of relief, depicting a peony blooms against geometrical diapers enclosed by a band ring. The sides banded in high relief with floral motif. Trimmed on the lip with gilt ring. The interior and underside are ebony lacquered.


Mark on base, six gilt script -KaiShu- characters, DaoGuang Reign Period of Great Qing.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Crackquerle on lacquers, natural imperfection, wood joint mark, minor Scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
