Description
1940's A. Torres Vega Solid Sterling Silver French Revival Style Footed Teapot W/Hinged Lid - This beautiful piece was made by A. Torres Vega, a silversmith from Mexico City. The piece was made in the 1940's and was done in a French Revival style. The teapot has four feet with high relief foliate detail, and a hinged lid with a semi-scalloped rim and 1.25" finial. The teapot is in good, vintage condition with no dents. The piece is stamped "A. Torres Vega", "Sterling 925", and "Hecho en Mexico" (made in Mexico). The teapot is also stamped "D.F", which represents Distrito Federal (Federal District) and has the eagle city mark of Mexico City. This is truly an investment quality piece, as these pieces (when you can find them) sell for thousands and are becoming harder and harder to come by. The piece measures 8.5"H x 10"W handle to spout (approximately). WEIGHS: 1214.6 grams.
