John Oates (Hall & Oates) Personally Owned Framed "Honorary Citizenship" Plaque From the City of Memphis W/COA & Color Photograph of Hall & Oates Recieving Award - This piece is a professionally framed, "Honorary Citizenship" plaque from the city of Memphis, Tennessee, personally owned by John Oates. The piece is dated February 18, 1985 and is signed by the Mayor of Memphis. The piece (including the frame) measures 9.75" x 15.25", and is excellent condition. The lot will come with a certificate of authenticity, and will also include a 3.5" x 5" color photograph of Hall and Oats recieving their certificates from Jimmy Velvet. John Oates (born April 7, 1948) is an American rock, R&B and soul musician, guitarist, and songwriter, best known as half of the duo Hall & Oates, with Daryl Hall. Oates' main role in the duo was guitarist, and he also co-wrote many of the Top 10 songs that they recorded, including "Sara Smile", "She's Gone", "Out of Touch", and many others. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Hall & Oates.
