There are not many of these Dietz #6 bell bottom frames with PENN RR stamped on the lid. What makes it more interesting is the steel globe insert ring that allows use of the 5 1/2" globe and not the standard 5 7/8" Dietz #6 globe. This is the earlier #6 style with a rounded top (later model has a flat top). This steel ring also reduces the 3 1/2" #6 diameter to a 3 1/4" Corning size. I have never seen one of these before but I suspect some other Pennsy collectors have. The #6 is a one piece frame that uses a pinch-pot fount. This fount is all original and fits perfectly.

The globe is a Corning style without extended base. It has a standard 3 1/4" base diameter.
