Sterling Silver Edwardian Vanity Mirror, 1900. This large, hand-held Edwardian mirror is an elegant vanity accessory for the bedroom as well as a gorgeous sterling silver collectible. The mirror is in great condition for it's age, made in a grand architectural design. A repeating leaf motif decorates the borders of the mirrored side while on the other is a repeating floral pattern along the edge. The background for the silver face of the mirror features some intricate engine turned work. Over this dotted pattern is a ribbon presentation design with the monogrammed letter RKG. Above, foliage is draped in a symmetrical pattern; below there is a hanging basket with two blooming flowers. The handle of the mirror is equally ornamented, with a column like pattern, and a leaf design on the finial. The handle measures 9 inches long. The face of the mirror is 4 x 6 inches. The mirror is the original bevelled antique piece, which is in good condition minus a small but noticeable chip to the inside, on the lower left. The minor chip will not crack any further. For it's age this piece still holds and is in excellent condition. The vanity mirror measures 16 by 4-3/4 inches. It is marked International Sterling at the end of the handle. This piece is circa 1900.
