BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) LANDSCAPE PAINTING, watercolor on paper, a diminutive depiction of a country church in moonlight, no signature located, retains old ink inscription visible verso which mentions, in part, how "English oak really out to be cut 20 years before use". Matted and housed under glass in a modern frame. Together with an unsigned 19th-century oil on board landscape in a modern frame. Two pieces total. Circa 1870. 2 1/8" x 4 1/8" sight, 9 5/8" x 11 5/8" OA.
Watercolor in very good visual condition with abrasions/discoloration upper right. Not examined out of frame.
