BLENKO NO. 3627 GLASS - WINSLOW ANDERSON CHIMNEY HIBALL GLASSES, LOT OF EIGHT, comprising two Chartreuse, two amethyst, a deep green, a deep blue, and two ruby examples; each with a rough pontil mark, six examples signed, "BLENKO". Mid-20th century. 6 5/8" to 7" H.
Undamaged.
Literature: Parallels Piña - Blenko: Cool '50s & '60s glass, p. 147, middle right.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson was the first design director at Blenko, he held this position from 1946 - 1952 before moving on as a design director for Lenox China in 1953.
