Description

American Polychromed Pine Bedding Box, late 18th c., the interior with a candle box, the front inscribed "Elisabeth Wind, 1798," the top with a reserve medallion of a soldier on horseback, H.- 30 1/4 in., W.- 48 3/4 in., D.- 22 1/2 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Repair to break in front left foot; yellow glue visible along crack. New hinges and support on lid but original hinges present. Handle on right drawer lacking. Approximate 7 by 1 inch chip to left drawer. Crack across top of back right foot. Heavy wear around drawers, bottom front edge and right edge of lid. Two 24 by ¼ inch cracks in lid; one partially filled. Scratches throughout. Scattered reddish dots on back edge of lid. An interesting piece. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
