1709 Commonplace Book of Thomas Kirkham, English, Vellum and Laid Paper. A commonplace (scrap) book from 1709 which belonged to an English man named Thomas Kirkham. His name and date are written on the first page. The book is bound in vellum and the pages are inked on laid paper. Most of the pages are inked. It contains penmanship exercises, mathematical equations, recipes and other things. Mr. Kirkham's book measures 8" x 6 1/4" x 1.
