DESCRIPTION: World War II era Purple Heart Medal and related insignia named to Walter E. Rebuck in original Bailey Banks & Biddle box. Includes Purple Heart lapel pin, American Legion lapel pin, 14 karat gold 1914 high school graduation pin marked "SHS" to front and "WER" to rear, and fraternal pendant with cross and three stars on black enamel. In original purple cardboard Bailey Banks & Biddle box with paper label. PROVENANCE: Walter E. Rebuck graduated from Gettysburg College in 1920 with a bachelor of science and is listed in Army Registers from the 1930's until the 1950's. MEASUREMENTS: Purple Heart medal 3-1/4" long. Box 21/2 " x 4-1/4". CONDITION: Purple Heart medal missing medal bar. All items with wear and patina as expected with age. Box with wear and separation of seams to lid.
