12th Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Bowl (Plate)
Southern Song-Yuan Dynasty (12th century),
A Chinese Nan Jiao Xiaguan kilns porcelain plate, of a lotus form, very rare and precious.
It was unearthed with an obviously wrapped slurry, which means it was wrapped by the natural soil because it was near the tomb of the soil.
It has a beautiful cracked ice pattern and natural soil inside of the cracked.
With opaque thick glaze, the glaze layer along the mouth is thin, Showing a lighter purple than black.
The color of the bottom with the overall green glaze color, can show the beautiful of the green glaze, also make thick glaze more elegant and has good texture.
Porcelain edge showing gray-black (dark purple), the foot shows iron brown, called "ZI KOU TIE ZU." This is one of the characteristics of the Song-Yuan Dynasty kiln.
Archaeological and handed down from the professional point of view, the Southern Song-Yuan Dynasty under the kiln (GeYao) is very rare. Currently only a few pieces in the world's major museums!
