The top shade has two 1/2" flake chips at the top rim. One chip is on the outside of the rim the other is at the inside of the rim. Also there are small chips approx. 1/16" to 1/8" along this rim as well. But all of these are hidden by the metal crown at the top. The bottom shade that fits over the oil font has small chips along the top and bottom edges.
