Description
Pollards (English, founded late 19th/early 20th century), late 19th/early 20th century. A large stained mahogany store display counter, having a glass display cabinet set atop a case, having a paneled front with scrolled acanthine supports, the back set with drawers, each with brass campaign pulls. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 36.675", width 118", depth 24". Note: According to the consignor, this display cabinet was originally used in Kessler's department store in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The downtown store location opened in 1933. All of the companies stores were closed in 1998.
