Description
Attributed to Neel Reid (American, 1885-1926), circa 1921-22. A French Louis XVI style burl wood cabinet, having a demilune form, with one center drawer and three cabinets, each door inlaid with a marquetry inlaid roundel, on four squared tapering legs with line inlaid detailing. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 33", width 39.5", depth 19.875". Note: This piece was purportedly made by Atlanta classical architect J. Neel Reid for the Willis B. Jones residence, of his design and originally located on Peachtree Street, later moved to its current location on West Paces Ferry Road.
