Description
AN INDIAN TURNED AND CARVED POLYCHROME CEREMONIAL OBJECT FRAGMENT, 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY AN INCENSE BURNER, in the first century style, the turned bowl form top centered by four pierced circles over a trapezoidal base, each side carved in bas relief, one with Ganesh, the other a donkey, another with a brahma cow, and the fourth side with two figures gesturing toward an object emitting rays, with traces of original red paint. Height: 6" Diameter: 7 1/4"
Condition
There are some chips, scratches, wood fill repairs, losses to the paint and general heavy wear throughout.
