GROUP OF FIVE PERSIAN PAINTINGS, 20TH CENTURY. Each finely rendered in gouache on construction paper. Three rendered in white gouache on black construction paper (two with some light coloring), and each depicting scenes or persons from Persian folklore. The first depicting a seated gentleman beneath a beautiful maiden with bottle, signed lower right Sadegh Tabrizi and measuring 15.75 x 9.75 inches (40 x 25 cm). The second also depicting a seated gentleman beneath a gathering of six maidens, signed SHIRAZI and beneath in Arabic, 15.75 x 13.6 inches (40 x 34.7 cm). And a beautiful maiden spilling a libation from a cup, signed lower center N - SHIRAZI and beneath in Arabic, 15.6 x 13.3 inches (39.5 x 33.6 cm). Together with two color gouache painted images also by Shirazi. One depicting a beautiful maiden on a carpet, 15 x 10.75 inches (38.5 x 27.5 cm), and the other of a beautiful maiden holding a cup and executed on red paper, 10.75 x 7.25 inches (27 x 18.5 cm). All unframed.
