Original illustrated edition. The two books are very rare to find united. These four works of the Croatian Jesuit made him famous in Roman archeology. Particularly interesting is the dissertation on an ancient solar dials of the Roman era found in the excavations of the villa discovered in Tusculano. Riccardi: "He is interested in the history of gnomonics and the invention of clocks." Turner: "It was with this and with other studies of the 18th century on the finds of Roman dials that launched the modern historical study on solar dials." The "Dissertation over a 'Ancient time with sunshine' begins with its own cover page on page 61. In the second work, the dissertation on a silver medal by Annia Faustina, with French and Italian text on two columns, begins on page 25.
