Repousse Sterling Silver and Black Lacquered Director's Baton hallmarked by Horace Woodward & Co. of Birmingham, England, 1891, with engraved presentation "Presented to the Rev W. Carter MA, Jny. 27th, 1892". 23 1/2" long. Fine condition.
Property of Rev. William Thomas Carter, born in Calais, ME in 1859, died in Taunton, MA in 1943. He was named after the Puritan minister who was ordained in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1642, who was the first Minister of Woburn, MA.
