Rare Haviland Limoges Partial Armorial Dinner Service
ca. 1910-1914, the blanks marked "Haviland, France" and decorator marked "Frank Haviland, Limoges", each piece, with the exception of the saucers, hand-painted with the Arms of Grace Whitney Hoff (1862-1938), the service including twenty-six dinner plates, dia. 10", twenty-two soup plates, dia. 9-1/2", twenty-two luncheon plates, dia. 9-1/2", thirty-two salad plates (twenty-one of which have colored coats of arms, the other eleven are in gilt), dia. 8-1/2" and 8-3/4" respectively, six bread-and-butter plates, dia. 6-/34", a round chop plate, dia. 12-1/2", an oval platter, w. 15-1/2", d. 11", four teacups, h. 2-1/2", sixteen saucers of two sizes (eight of each), dia. 5-1/2" to 6-1/4", six demitasse cups, h. 2", and nine saucers, dia. 5".

Condition
There are numerous scattered chips to more than one-half of the plate rims, many of which have been
lightly sanded and attractively over-painted with gilt. There are also a handful of hairline and spiderweb-
form cracks to them. As for the saucers and tea and demitasse cups, six saucers have chips, one has a
hairline "spiderweb" crack and two demitasse cups have hairline cracks.
