Guillaume Azoulay (Moroccan; 1949-) "Sagittaire Lavis" Limited Edition Hand Embellished Water Color Gold Leaf Etching Numbered 25/47 W/COA - This piece is a limited edition hand embellished water color gold leaf etching by Moroccan artist Guillaume Azoulay. The piece is titled "Sagittaire Lavis" and depicts the archer Sagittarius. The piece was created during the life of the artist, and the master created for this edition was destroyed after printing. The piece has been signed by the artist around lower right edge and titled and numbered 25/47 around the lower left. The piece measures 30.5" x 22", and will also come with a certificate of authenticity. Guillaume Azoulay was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1949, and by age thirteen was sketching and selling his drawings on the street and at fairs. He has held major exhibits in Rome, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Reno, Paris, Tel Aviv and many other cities. In 1978 two of his works were accepted into the permanent collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris, and he is the youngest artist to be accepted in to their permanent archives. His works are found in the collections of former President Ronald Reagan, Francois Mitterand, the late Anwar Sadat, King Hassan II of Morocco, Prince Rainier and Prince Karim Aga Khan.
