This work contains extensive historical and topographical descriptions of baths and natural spas used for wellness management. Includes chapters dedicated to good health habits and bathing techniques, as well as diet supplements for better living. In addition to the health benefits, this work tells of proper behaviors and regulations while bathing and how the bath hosts should treat their guests. The baths and springs of healing mentioned in this work are those of Taminaschlucht, gorges and valleys in the Swiss Alps, Rhine Valley.
Bound in 15th-century vellum manuscript. Includes a charming woodcut frontispiece. According to Haller, a Latin edition printed in the same publishing house exists.
