Golden Age King Comics DEC 1941 No.68 with : Popeye, “Wrestle it’s Fun” in six easy lessons, cover and Ride with The Lone Ranger banner headline. Published monthly by the David MacKay company , Philadelphia. Rated 7.5 based on CBCS criteria. This is a remarkably well preserved Golden Age comic, bright vibrant cover colors, excellent gloss and higher then average reflectivity for comics of this era. Flat spine, slight oxidation on one staple, both staples well centered on fold. Internal pages are off white to light cream, supple and retain rich color to graphics. Bindery/ publishing perforations have a few 1/8 to ¼ inch margin tears with no losses, two pages have thumb edge tears of ½ inch in margin that do not impact graphics. Paper edges show greater age related discoloration possibly early mild foxing. Hint of rubbing to upper and lower spine, edges and corners are mildly blunted. Over all appearance is of an unread copy. Rear cover shows some light rubbing color transfer from storage with other print material and lower left corner bend with out break in color, not creased. Back advertisement is for Red Ryder Carbine , Daisy Air Riffles.
