Description
In Game 4 of the 1941 World Series, with two out, two strikes, and no runners on base in the ninth, a swing and a miss by the Yankees' Tommy Henrich would have ended the game, but the ball got away from the Dodger's catcher Mickey Owen, allowing Henrich to reach first base and the Yankee's to rally to a final score of 7-4. They went on to win the series that year. This sepia-tone photo captioned "The One That Got Away" captures that game-winning moment, and is signed by Owen and Henrich, the two players responsible for that critical turn. A fantastic piece of baseball history. 30 x 24in. framed.
