Pre-Columbian, north coast of Peru, Chimu/Chancay, ca. 1300 to 1520 CE. An open woven white thread textile, made from camelid fibers, depicting a series of human-avian hybrid creatures shown facing the viewer inside of diamond borders. Figures facing forward are often thought to be gods or elites. Size: 26.4" W x 23" H (67.1 cm x 58.4 cm)
