Vintage, sterling silver orchid brooch by Hector Aguilar. Beautifully detailed and masterfully handwrought, this brooch is a book piece, featured on page 111 of Morrill & Berk’s Mexican Silver. Hallmarks: HA TAXCO, 940. This particular Aguilar hallmark dates the piece to about 1948 or ’49. Measures 2 7/8" x 2 1/2", it is in very good vintage condition.
