Description
An excellent La Selva tripod jar, ca. AD 400 – 700. This beautiful Guácimo type is 5 in high and was found in Panama. Each leg is topped with a bird or small zoomorphic creature and a pair of double-headed serpent encircle the rim. With vivid paint, good mineral deposits and rattles in the hollow legs. Ex Langston estate.
