[1788]Six of six volumes complete.(Colophon at bottom of 2 volumes’ last page: De l’Imprimerie de Badouin, rue de Foint-Saint-Jacques, No. 31. 1 vol's colophon adds the phrase “Imprimeur de l’Assemblie Nationale†after “Badouin.†Vol V’s last page adds a “1789†publication date.) The volumes measure 8 X 5 inches each; (8vo); full leather; gilt stamped lettering on red & black leather spine labels; gilt stamped bands & gilt stamped decorations in compartments on spines; gilt-stamped borders on boards; **All Boards Detached / Loose!!**; leather dry & flaking; edges & corners well worn; boards rubbed & scratched; spine ends & edges chipped; vertical cracks on spines; Volume V's spine is cracked vertically & cracked through text block splitting volume into two parts; marble end-papers; end-papers loose / detached in most volumes; edges of end-papers chipped; previous owner's names in ink on front end-papers dated 1853 & 1878; foxing spots & age toning throughout all volumes; stains in lower corners of some text blocks; 520 + 576 + 558 + 560 + 776 + 704 pages + plates.
