Burmese, Late 19th to Early 20th century. Large painting on light pink silk with opposing scenes depicting two temples or pagodas rendered in pink, white, green and gray with courtyard filled with kneeling figures in gestures of devotion, sides of field with figures on elephants; other sides depicting a procession with elephant, courtly figures and figures kneeling or walking amid palm trees, opposing views allow for vertical and horizontal alignment when hanging. Framed approximately 38.9" x 27.75". Sight size approximately 30.9" x 19.6".
