A Villanovan impasto jug, Italic, 8th Century BC, the body squat with three tripod feet, the neck narrow and tapers to a pouring spout, single loop handle behind. The upper portion of the body is adorned with impressed divots, three in a vertical row, and the vessel is well preserved with light deposits. H: 5 ¾ in (14.7 cm). Ex collection of a Manhattan, New York professor, acquired in the 1970's.
