Description

Two African Crosses:
The metal cross is an Ethiopian Coptic hand cross. The metal is incised with traditional windmill blades in the center, and circular patterns down the bar. The one made of wood is a carved Ethiopian Processional cross. It has four intertwined Coptic patterned squares at the top on a straight shaft with incised zig-zags on one side and a rope pattern on the reverse. The bottom square and lower diamond shapes have different carved geometric patterns.
