Rare 1902 Conrad Motor Carriage Company Booklet. 6 X 9

Conrad motor cars were manufactured for only about a year and a half from early 1902 until August 1903, thus promotion materials for the company are extremely difficult to come by. Consider that the company originally offered only steam-powered vehicles and operated at the dawn of the automotive age, thus the rarity becomes self-explanatory. Materials from the very first year of production are rare, indeed. The website www.virtualsteamcarmuseum states that Conrad produced a Dos-a-Dos model in 1902. This 32-page booklet up for auction shows the Dos-a-Dos model. Other information on the site from period sources clearly establishes this booklet as touting the 1902 line. Spine split about 1.5” at foot. Tiny chip at head of spine. Tiny tear in rear cover at top. Very light soiling at outside edge of title page. Interior pages near fine with binding staples exhibiting rust. An incredibly rare piece.
