Queen Victoria era reporter and photographer Mary Spencer Warren, photographer to the Royal Family (England, United Kingdom, Britain) is said to have been the first woman honored to have photographed the British royal family; this selection of 74 glass slides includes images of Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Sandringham House as well as a few other slides including a portrait of King Edward VII; the slides are contained in a wood box and only 2 have corner cracks. Accompanying the slides is a list of images which were “Taken To London” in 1964, most of which are present in this lot; a partial obituary and 4 typed article proofs titled Windsor Castle, The Queen’s Highland Home, Buckingham Palace and The Daily Life of Our Royal Children are also included.
