fourth quarter 19th century, American, English and Continental, including a marked Wedgwood aesthetic jug with a pewter cover, h. 7-1/2", a jug with ivy on a "wood" ground, signed "Etruscan", h. 6-1/4", and seven unmarked jugs, h. 6" to 10-3/4".

Condition
All exhibit normal, very minor wear and rubbing and are free of chips, cracks and breaks except as
noted:
Mug with pewter lid: There is about a 1/8" diameter chip loss to the glaze with adjoining scratches on the
upper yellow band. The inside of the lid is marked "James Dixon and Sons Sheffield".
Mug with fish head at base: Fleabite to the rim, possible inpainting to edge of spout.
Mug with the fish tail as a handle: Two fleabites to the rim.
Brown ground with three-leaved plant: There is a hairline interior crack inside the rim, extending down
about 2"; it is not visible on the exterior side.
Mug with a fish mouth as the spout: Flake to the base, about 1/8" diameter.
