Condition: Very Good. Slight age toning. One small marginal split. Hand colored vignettes and outlines.

A very nice map of Canada plus Alaska, aka Russian America, in the Tallis fashion, rich with topographical and settlement details. Forts, Hudson's Bay Company stations are shown as well as color-outlined 23 provinces. Surroundered by six vignettes including birds eye view of Montreal.

John Tallis (1817-1876) was an English cartographic publisher. His company, John Tallis and Company, published views, maps and atlases in London from roughly 1838 to 1851.
