AMERICAN BLUE AND WHITE BRISTOL-GLAZED STONEWARE WATER COOLER, having the "Rebecca at the Well" design on front and molded floral design on back, molded floral finial and top of cover, likely original spigot. Unmarked. Likely Robinson Clay Products Company, Akron, Ohio. Late 19th/early 20th century. 15" HOA.
Very good condition overall, with one chip and flake on interior of flange on cover, several minor flakes to raised decorations on sides of base and one on edge of cover, and several spalls to foot rim.
Provenance: From a Shenandoah Valley private collector.
Catalogue Note: Marked examples made by the Robinson Clay Products Company survive with the same molded designs on the sides and cover.
