Item Details
Description
A live steam model of a Stuart Turner Major Beam engine, with beam supported on bright-work turned central pillar with Watt s parallel motion linkage to single vertical cylinder 1 3/4" bore by 3 3/4" stroke having inside steam chest and brass oiler cup. The steam valve with bevel gear linkage to open crank with fitted speed governor, water pump driven from beam which is fitted with brass oilers and has a 13 1/2" diameter six spoked flywheel. The model finished in green and red paintwork with polished bright-work and mounted on wooden plinth with moulded edge. Length 60cm. Width 29cm. Overall height 50cm.
