Two WPA era mural studies by Cleveland artist Stanislaus Oswieczynski, including:
Paderewski Cape country landscape centered around a red barn with painted advertisement for "Styke 1905," 1930s, titled l.r., 19.5 x 6.5 in. (sheet)
and an untitled conte and pencil sketch of a similar barnyard hootenanny with musicians in the foreground, 1930s, 19.5 x 6.25 in. (sheet)
both reminiscent of his WPA print, McDonald's Sale

Stanislaus Oswieczynski (later Oswiecinski) studied at the Cleveland School of Art, the University of Washington and Lee John Huntington Polytechnic. He regularly exhibited work at the Cleveland Museum of Art's May Show and taught at the Cooper School of Art and Saturday Mornings at the Cleveland Museum of Art. His work can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and among the archives at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Public Library.Â
