Description
A pair of yellow glazed lidded jars dating from the Song dynasty or earlier. The glaze has has some crazing and the vases come with wooden stands. Dimensions for the vases are 9 1/2 inches tall X 6 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
From an estate in the Washington, D.C. area. The family lived in Shanghai, China during the 1930s and 1940s while working for the Standard Oil Company. They left China in 1949 during the Communist takeover.
