Hermes 1930s 11 Piece Travel Vanity Grooming Kit in Original Black Leather Suitcase - This extraordinary set was finely crafted in the 1930s, by renowned luxury brand Hermes. This rare find is a complete, 10 piece travel vanity grooming kit. The kit contains: shoe horn, nail file housed in red leather case, nail clipper, (2) 48mm lidded jars with removable glass inserts, 70mm lidded jar, (2) 3" x 2.25" lidded bottles, (2) 2" x 1.75" lidded bottles, and a 3" x 2" covered soap container. All of the pieces (aside from the nail clippers and file) are 18k gold dipped, and are individually numbered and hallmarked "Hermes Paris". The pieces will come housed in the original black leather carrying case with gold tone hardware, which is in stunning condition for its age. This is truly a gorgeous, and rare set for any sophistocated traveler. The case is stamped "Hermes Paris" underneath the handle, and is finished with gold "H" clasps that are working perfectly. The pieces show some tarnish due to age, but could simply be re-dipped and look brand new, as there are no dings or dents. This is truly a once in a lifetime find in this complete, and good condition. The case (when closed) measures 13"W x 9"H x 2"D. Please note: two of the bottles have difficulty opening, and may need to be greased.
