The circa 200-300+ year old canvas lined circa 100+ years ago. The painting has J.D. de Heem script signature at lower left however we cannot certify signatures of artists born before 1850 and we are offering this work as a fine attribution, bearing a de Heem Signature. Framed in a high grade mid-19th century acanthus corner cove molding and ebonized frame with plaque inscribed Joh David de Heem Utrecht 1600 Antwerp 1674, likely from the time of the lining.
