Yabu Meizan Anthropomorphic Frogs Meiji Vase 19th C. A fine Satsuma Meiji Period Vase , signed Yabu Meizan. Decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt on a clear crackle ground, earthenware vase with an ovoid body painted with a fantasy of frogs and toads in the guise of a daimyo procession. A large toad on a palanquin and another tethered. The neck painted with chrysanthemum flowers and a gilt rim, the foot with a geometric border. {KLEA7401} (AC )
