VOYAGES DE CHEVALIER CHARDIN, EN PERSE, 1811. Imprimeur-Libriare, Paris. Set of 10 text volumes with folio atlas. Approximately 500 pp per volume. The atlas includes text and black and white prints of various subject matter, architectural, flora, fauna, and folded maps. Each volume with later polished half calf binding and banded spines. The text volumes 8 inches x 4.75 inches (20 x 12 cm), the atlas 20.25 inches x 13 inches (51.5 x 33 cm).

Condition

Very good condition overall. Rebound. Interior pages for the most part clean and bright. With some light scattered foxing and toning not particularly objectionable. Edges trimmed. Various pencil notations to end papers. The end papers with adhesive staining at corners. Tear with loss approximately .5 x 1.75 inches to last page volume to volume 2. The folio rebound with polished quarter calf cover. The interior good to very good overall and appears complete. The folding maps or illustrations with a few short tears here and there. And some scattered light foxing and toning.
