This is a rare pair of wood sculpture from the Yoruba peoples of Nigeria, West Africa. Featuring a pair of Twin Idols, male and female. Such idols were used in the Twin cult as mediums to the spirit world and to house the twins souls. Professionally mounted to wooden display stand. Measures 13.5 and 12.5 inches tall on wooden bases.
