Description
A group of 4 Roman Terra Sigillata pottery fragments, North Africa, c. 4th – 6th Century AD, and include a plate fragment with nicely stamped birds, another rim fragment with relief depicting a beautifully detailed winged putti in a boat, another flat sherd representing wall decoration with a male bust within a round medallion and bands of floral decoration; and the last is a plate sherd with a late Roman/Byzantine gold coin style stamp between incised lines. Largest: 4 1/3 in x 3 ¾ in (11cm x 9.5cm). Ex Royal Athena Galleries, New York.
